Telling true stories gives me energy. Uncovering undertold narratives feeds my passion for connecting communities. Put together, they define my life as a journalist and editor focused on context and consequence, details and depth.

While I've won awards for my writing and editing, I have received no greater recognition than presenting alongside a story partner and inspiration, Pastor LaMonica Sherman, at the 2019 Images and Voices of Hope Media Summit. As we shared our story of restorative media, I understood that restoration takes many forms, in our stories, in our relationship to our communities and in our lives.
